Haroon Meer,
an MSc student in Computer Science, has
been recognised by the Mail & Guardian in their annual list of influential young
South Africans for 2010. He was listed in the Technology category.
As an information security specialist, his main interest
is in the practical application of academic research findings to combat the many
information security threats that exist today.
His masters research is focused on memory corruption attacks, supervised by Barry Irwin.
