A Trip through our Solar System
About the project
-----------------
Graphics 2007 saw us play around with the 3D-modeller Blender. Our project involved creating a one minute long animation with the tool. My animation involves a trip through our solar system, replicating our planets, starting from the nearest to the sun, Mercury, all the way to the outer most, Pluto (which is no longer a planet apparently).

Downloads

I used Windows Movie Maker to put together the final product. However, movie maker does not appear to produce an AVI format that is compatible with other media players other than Windows media player. As a result, the only format I could get the video in was Windows Movie Video (WMV). To save any trouble, I've also created a link to the original movie as rendered by Blender.

Video 1 (WMV) (11 MB)
Video 2 (Original, no text or credits) (78 MB)

A documentation explaning what was done during the course of the project has also been made available for download. I've made available a word file as well as a pdf version.

PDF document (.pdf) [301 KB]
Word document (.doc) [371 KB]

Also available for download is the actual blender file which I worked on. Note, this file contains an additional mesh that I created but is not part of the original video. Hunt hard enough and you'll find it.

Blender file (1.33 MB)
