This week consisted of work on my project proposal,
some investigation into adobe AIR (but to be continued next week).
And lots of random reading.
I continued with my project proposal this week, its almost done!
I did allot of reading about honeypots and played with packets using SharpPcap.
Lastly I started writing a paper on The management and attack analysis of honeypots
Which will include section on a suggested approach at aggregating data between
geographically dispersed honeypots.
Week 3 was spent doing further work on my project proposal, a bit
lame since I'm already heading strong into my project work.
I also did allot of reading on security metrics, data visualization and honeypots.
I did some programming with Adobe AIR and wrote a paper on virtual honeypots.
This week I spent hours fighting with freeBSD, Ubuntu and windows to try and get
Apache webserver to work, as wamp had trouble getting postres to run with php.
I learnt how to use the php gd library to draw graphs, got database connectivity
to the network telescope data via php. I also read more on data visualization and snort.
